Painting Frames "Cicilia" |

| A real gold piece among the picture frames is the model Cicilia. The height of the frame is 50 millimeters. The width of 80 millimeters is divided into different strip widths. Behind the rather flat outer edge then rises the highest part of the frame, a narrow pointed bar and one in the shape of a cylinder. Finally, a deepening of the wood leads to the inner frame strip with a slight elevation. This rise and fall of sections, as a whole, forms a frame that expresses perfection and tension at the same time. The color scheme in bright gold cements its festive character. A chalk base as a primer and a poliment in a red hue first ensured a high intensity of color. The gold leaf was then applied and processed by hand. A slight rubbing through of the metal leaf allows the reddish poliment to shine through, creating an even warmer flair. To give color and texture the final artistic touch, we chose to finish with the application of a light patina. This gives the picture frame Cicilia an antique look in a golden glow. |
