| "Ramona" is a magnificent example of baroque frame art. The real wood frame with chalk ground with black poliment is covered by hand in Schabin technique with silver leaf metal and unobtrusively patinated. The magnificent ornamentation in the typical Venetian Baroque style is artfully worked out. Through the fine rubbing on the black poliment and final waxing, it appears extremely vivid. Between the outer and inner edges, the black lacquered surface with a moving ground in antique design contrasts with the baroque ornamentation. |
