Painting Frames "Nikita" |
Braun mit Goldkante • Serie: Boston • Width: 36mm • Height: 24mm |
The painting frame Nikita from the Boston frame series has been given the color brown with a gold edge. It is not a single brown that the designers have conjured up from their color palette. Rather, several shades of brown come into their own on this real wood bar, all of which have different nuances and thus make Nikita a real one-off. It starts with the highest point, which protrudes 24 mm into the room, a light brown that shows the character of beech, alder or even cherry. After half a curve, the bar stops to make room for a black groove that visually sets a limit to the next border. The slightly inward straight strip that follows is similar to oak wood, which has taken on a wonderful gray due to the weather. A very slight hint of a reddish tinge that works here appears as a more intense red on the next bar. This middle bar runs parallel to the wall and is reminiscent of teak or mahogany with its reddish brown. This is followed by a narrow black bar, to which a shiny gold bar hugs in full contrast. The weathered gray-brown follows again as a bottom bar towards the center of the picture. Despite the different tones and nuances, the designers succeeded in creating a very harmonious mix of colors. If only one of these tones appears again in the framed picture, an optical symbiosis has been created. |
