The cylindrical shape of the frame is divided into small sections, which makes the frame in its shape reminiscent of a golden chocolate bar - and Mariangela is thus almost "to bite". The frame is made of high-quality real wood. The bars have a width of 28 millimeters and a height of 24 millimeters. These were in turn processed with a primer to ensure longevity of the gold color. A special touch is given to the Mariangela picture frame by a final layer of red poliment. Already in the Middle Ages, this protective layer was used for the gold leaf and still shows today that the process has proven itself. In addition to the protective function, the slightly reddish tone of this poliment is particularly captivating, giving the shiny gold frame an even warmer quality.
