| Lena is a delicate picture frame from the Academie series. The gold frame is just 18 mm wide and brings it to 26 mm in height at the highest point. Thanks to this slim shape, Lena has made a name for itself as a painting frame that does exactly what its name promises - a motif frame, no more and no less. The frame promises just a hint of the limitation of a painting for art lovers who prefer more paintings than frames. And yet Lena is a real piece of gold, because the designers have used gold here to perfection. The gold, which has been provided with stylish effects, looks like a strong yellow. A red patina under the gold appears in the form of swirling dots, but also like delicate, uneven cracks in the wanted antique style. The intended aging process of Lena gives the frame a venerable character. Awe in a small format also describes the form that was chosen for Lena. Simple in itself, but very impressive due to its symmetry. Both at the top and at the bottom of the frame a wooden ledge looks out, which is reminiscent of a capital of Greek columns - small but nice. |
