Painting Frames "Ivy" |

| The Ivy painting frame has been worked by its designers in such an intense gold tone that one can speak of a piece of gold under the frame. This frame from the Van Gogh series shines not only because of its color, but also because of the dimensions of 60x34 mm. Initially, Ivy received a red background, which is highlighted by the abrasion from the gold in some areas during further processing. While the outermost narrow bar appears in strong gold, the red is shown in the next border, which is embedded in two filigree dark brown lines and forms the highest part of the frame as a rounded bar. The gold paint was rubbed off parallel to the bar, so that the delicate stripes in red, but also in dark brown, appear horizontally on this border. This contrast can be seen in the overall view as if tens of small strips were strung together on this wooden border alone. After this rounding, there follows a level that curves inwards, on which the red also emerges slightly, but on which dark design elements can also be seen, as applied with a sponge. A bar with gold rivets on a dark background and a narrow gold bar form the end. |
