| The Elisa picture frame is as opulent as the baroque itself. With its frame size of 81 millimeters wide and 48 millimeters high, Elisa already makes quite a statement. The splendor of this piece, in addition to the size, is also emphasized by the bold ornaments. Undulating, the back of the frame is slightly flared, and its large floral carvings give a framing finish to the frame itself. To the inside follows a narrow plain molding, which in turn is rounded off with another ornate border to the inside of the frame. The real wood has been given a noble color finish using the popular cabinet technique. Matching the opulent form, an antique silver was chosen here, which significantly emphasizes its baroque character. The leaf metal was applied to the wooden frame by hand. Light, dark spots speak to the typical style of antique silver, these give the frame a time-honored touch. This noble look is complemented by the kind of slightly matte sheen that reminds the viewer of the soft luster of mother-of-pearl. Elisa knows how to shine in a magnificent way! |
