| Dominique is another wide, impressive gold frame from the Prague series. The designers gave this frame an impressive 72 mm in total width, plus 34 mm at the highest height with which the bar protrudes into the room. This part of the frame bulges forward in the lower area of the frame, which gives Dominique a cozy character. Because of its color design, the frame radiates comfort in itself with numerous ornaments. In this case, these were not used sparingly, on the contrary: the decorative elements penetrate from the upper edge to the inside of the picture, whereby a limit was set here in the form of a thin, simple, gold-colored bar. This optical demarcation is just right for the lush structure, so that a demarcating line between the picture frame and the subject to be framed ensures order. But wherever the ornaments have been given space, they cheerfully frolic over the real wooden bar. The imaginative structures are divided into two areas, which are alternately grouped around the frame. This gives the otherwise quite wild potpourri of lush design elements a certain structure, which, especially in the overall view from a distance, results in a wonderful union. In detail, the viewer shows bulging, rounded, cozy accents, on the one hand in strong gold, on the other hand in light cream white, which have been brushed abundantly with a shiny tincture. |
