| Striking, bold and idiosyncratic is Carina, another painting frame from the Brittany series. Once again, the designers were able to let their imagination run free on this real wooden bar with the dimensions 41x29 mm. Relative restraint was still the order of the day when it was designed. Carina manages with a single bar that shows a slight indentation in the center. Otherwise there is simplicity. Not so with the color design, here the design professionals have reached deep into the color box and created a green gray that makes the Carina frame a real eye-catcher. The color appears maritime due to the light nuances that have been discussed here. Not only the light gray and the light green are a perfect combination, the light brown, which shines through as wood in different places, also benefits this color mix. On the one hand, the various holes that are made in the wood fit, as well as the surface, which comes here in a very brittle form and almost reflects the rough sea. With this great character, Carina is the right setting for maritime motifs, the sea definitely needs to be framed in it - whether it is the calm lagoon or the roaring sea. |
