Later, the prolific painter created still lifes and devoted himself to the depiction of beautiful women, which he portrayed in the style of his master.
Shinsai adopted a special form of woodblock printmaking. Surimonos were a kind of greeting cards, which were given to family and friends on special occasions. Shinsais made the small holding prints in a square form. Famous is the work Carp among pond plants, which radiates a special artistic expression with its detailed drawing skills.
