Simo (Silvia Morawski), born in 1954 (Hanseatic City of Hamburg), spent her childhood in Hamburg-Wandsbek, where she also went to primary school. Simo studied at the universities of Hamburg and Mainz.rnShe also studied at the painting academy with Professor J. Jost (Mainz).rnThe painter has lived in Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate (Hunsrück), Saarland, Bavaria, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lorraine, on the Rhine and on the Moselle,rnand has been working as a freelance artist since 1985.rnSimo is a passionate painter with a keen sense of proportion and detail.rnShe has lived back in her home town of Hamburg since 2004.rnSimo mainly paints portraits, dance and carnival scenes, scenes from the circus world, music, animals and landscapes as well as floral objects, imaginative treatment of contemporary and classical themes (impressions on the theme of "Allergies", variations on the theme of "The Story of Creation" after Michelangelo).rnSimo paints very colourful pictures which, in their varied design, are an eye-catcher in any environment.rnShe creates her works in oil, gouache, watercolour, wax, chalk and coloured pencil.rnThe matching wooden frames (handmade unique pieces!) are individually made for each picture.rnSimo has organised a number of exhibitions in Germany and public exhibitions in France.rnSince the beginning of her work as a freelance artist, Simo has repeatedly given courses to introduce interested people to painting and the technique.
