"Art is a mysterious and daring thing. I try to look at the world with innocent eyes and paint from the heart, and I hope people approach my work with similarly open eyes and minds." Artist Anna Phillips lives in the leafy surroundings of Warwickshire. It is here that Anna finds inspiration for her works. They are tranquil landscapes that exude stillness and harmony, contrasting with the energy with which the artist carries out her work. Anna Phillips loves the landscapes, of her home. On walks or looking out of the window, she experiences the moments that make the desire to paint grow. The trained artist uses, in addition to the brush, different techniques of drawing and graphic stylistic devices. In many works there is a combination of techniques. Anna's depiction of trees that have no foliage show an extraordinary attention to detail. The ramifications of the crowns appear filigree, almost delicate, and give the landscapes a relaxed atmosphere. Sheep, cows and foxes make the sceneries lively and realistic without diminishing the subjective impression. Landscape depictions occupy a large part of Anna Phillips' artistic life. The colorful play of light at different times of the day and year always creates new impressions. Anna Phillips has also devoted herself to the depiction of objects. Her paintings of sweets and nibbles show a varying degree of realistic representation. Anna always paints representationally, but the forms are often simple and the perspectives chosen purely subjective. It is an area of her work that is seemingly at odds with her passion and is indicative of Anna Phillip's dedicated artistry.
