Today, the works of Alexei Harlamov are exhibited in the Museum of St. Petersburg and the Gallery of Moscow. His talent for portraits was highly praised even in his younger years. Among his inspirations were his dealings with children and young girls, who occupy a special place in his works. In addition, the exquisite charcoal drawing of a young girl who shyly lowers her eyes and almost touches her chest with her hand is very famous. Especially the lines of charcoal and the way of technique show the talent and craft of Alexei Harlamov. This portrait is a wonderful example of the characteristics of his works. The somewhat reserved character is evident in many of his paintings, which highlight his incomparable style. His paintings are characterized by the delicate, careful and soft handling in the depiction of the faces. Alexei Harlamov was fascinated by the aesthetics and natural beauty, which he depicts with brilliance in his paintings.
